The film The Opposite of a Fairy Tale, which deals with elder abuse, will be screened at HBO on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Albert, who appeared in the film, will then participate in a panel moderated by HBO on using and creating film to effectuate positive social change. The event will take place from 6-8:30pm at HBO, located at 1100 Sixth Avenue. Click here for tickets.
The panel will be moderated by Tai-Chen Bassin, a Program Strategy and Planning Coordinator at HBO, where he works on marketing campaigns for original series, films, and documentaries He is the Co-Chair of MOSAIC, HBO’S Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to fostering Asian diversity and talent in media. Other panelists include Jennifer Betit Yen, writer of The Opposite of a Fairy Tale and President of the Film Lab; Yoko Iwaki, social worker and victim rights advocate; and Daniel G. Fish, elder law attorney.
