The 14th International Chinh India Kids Film Festival & Forum, which runs November 9-14, 2020, will screen The Butler and the Ball. Selection of the films is entirely at the discretion of the Children Advisory Board of the Chinh Early Education Web Channel. Award winners will be announced on November 14.
The Butler and the Ball is an urban fairy tale about a lonely boy who enters a contest to become the new butler of a grieving, reclusive singer, is directed by eight-year-old Andrew Chan-Possemato, who wrote and produced it with Albert.
Films selected for awards and competitive categories become part of Chinh International Film Cooperative, which screens the films in schools, educational institutions, libraries, NGOs working for disadvantaged children groups, and Chinh chapters.
Chinh supports social initiatives promoting causes of children and marginalized nomadic communities through harnessing traditional wisdom, art and culture and rediscovering them in contemporary contexts.
