The Butler and the Ball has been selected for the official competition at the 2021 Children Short Film Festival, an annual competitive film festival held in Paris and London on December 8-10, 2021, that features films about, for, or by children. The Butler and the Ball is one of 43 films selected from over 3,000 entries.

The Butler and the Ball will be screened on December 8, 2021, at 10am London time, at Magica Cinémathequè, an online arthouse theater showing films that have been screened and awarded at film festivals, with a library containing more than 10,000 international films.

The Butler and the Ball, an urban fairy tale about a lonely boy who enters a contest to become the new butler of a grieving, reclusive singer, was directed by eight-year-old Andrew Chan-Possemato, who wrote and produced it with Albert.
