The Butler and the Ball screens in the United Kingdom at the 5th annual Swindon Independent (International) Film Festival on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 6pm BST, at the Shoebox Theatre in Swindon, UK. The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), the largest provider of film and television training for young people in the UK, is sponsoring the Youth Film (under 18) category, which is open to all young filmmakers, youth groups, and schools internationally.

The Butler and the Ball previously screened in the UK at the Children’s International Film Festival of Wales where it won Best of Festival Award for Best International Young People’s Film and at the Children Short Film Festival where it won Best Original Screenplay of a Short Film and Jury Special Mention—Child Actor.

The Butler and the Ball is an urban fairy tale about a lonely boy who enters a contest to become the new butler of a grieving, reclusive singer. The film was directed by eight-year-old Andrew Chan-Possemato, who wrote and produced it with Albert. The film has screened in France, Wales, India, Iran, Romania, Estonia, The Czech Republic, England, South Korea, Australia, Serbia, Greece, Canada, and the United States.
